Despite how Biplanes ultimately owned its steering systems? Also, how the only reason the Hood sunk so quickly was because it had been hit in its forward magazine (I think) which then exploded following the lucky shot.

So yeah, the British navy more than made up for the loss of the Hood.

Well.... Don't piss off the Royal Navy. EVER! After the Bismark sank the Hood the initial battle group of 6 destroyers, 2 battlecrusiers (Hood and Prince of Wales), and 1 Aircraft Cariier was incresed to 7 Destroyers, 4 Cruisers, 3 battle crusiers, and 2 Aircraft Carriers. Obviously they're bad losers. But, to the Bismarks Credit, she had her steering knocked out by planes, her speed was lowered to 7 knots when her props were damaged, and she was listing to port from damage. But STILL she manged to engage the enemy for an hour and a half before finally becoming to badly damaged by british ships to stay afloat. Thats endurance. And where the Hood Broke in two along her keel is closer to the rear of her Quater deck so it was probebly hit in the aft Magazine.
